Leeds United Teams up with Ninjas in Pyjamas

Esport organization Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) announced earlier this week that it inked a partnership agreement with the professional English football club Leeds United. Since NIP has been looking for a partner but also kept an eye open for the growing popularity of FIFA as an esport, the organization seized the opportunity to team up with the legendary Whites from Elland Road.

According to the announcement by NIP, the two organizations are going to take FIFA esports to new heights. With that in mind, the Premier League has announced the launch of the third season of ePremier League recently. In its collaboration with Leeds United, the esports team will also help the club win the upcoming ePremier League EA SPORTS FIFA 21 Tournament.

An Exciting Milestone for NIP

According to Paul Bell, Leeds United’s executive director, the promotion of the team to the Primer League has opened the door for amazing opportunities. The involvement of the club with the ePremier League is the latest chance for Leeds United to continue to grow and impress.

“Just as Marcelo has done with the men’s first team, we intend on making our presence in the league known and being competitive straight away, creating a partnership with NiP will give us a fantastic foundation to do so. Bring it on.”

Hicham Chahine, Ninjas in Pyjamas CEO, deemed the partnership with Leeds United as an “exciting milestone” for the organization. He added that the two iconic clubs share similar stories for transformation and core values. Chahine added that the esports team looked for a premier club with ownership prepared to go deep into esports.

According to him, the expected result is an integration of efforts on sports performance as well as fan activation and commercialization. In conclusion, Chahine said that NIP is very thrilled about this “FIFA journey” together with Leeds United and that more exciting announcements are expected in the upcoming weeks.
